HVER?
BEN KINSLEY (2009)
Skagaströnd is a small town in the northwest of Iceland, and one of the few places in the country lacking geothermal energy. With the help of the town's 5th and 6th grade students, a makeshift hver (hot spring) was staged using painted cardboard and sheep's wool and photographed near the town pool, thus whimsically creating a geothermal source for Skagaströnd.
This project was supported by the Nes Artist Residency and the Cultural Committee of Northwestern Iceland
